Reetz Slugs Phalanx to 11-4 Win
2025 is shaping up to be a forgettable year for the Los Angeles Spirit.

The Philadelphia Phalanx dumped the Los Angeles Spirit, 11-4, in large part due to catcher Jakson Reetz. On the day, Reetz went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs, while scoring 3 and driving in 4 for the Phalanx. The winning pitcher was Garrett Whitlock. His record now stands at 10-4. The right-hander went 6 innings, allowing 3 runs on 9 hits for the Phalanx.

Romy Gonzalez, who is tied for 10th in the FL in stolen bases with 25, took Los Angeles hurler Shinnosuke Ogasawara deep in the bottom of the fifth. His 2-run home run put the Phalanx on top, 3-2. In all, Gonzalez had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 5.
