Stars Deal Oakland 6-3 Defeat
|
The Cincinnati Stars faced a tough opponent in Oakland pitcher Eric Lauer, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Great American Ball Park by a final score of 6-3. Lauer went 6 innings and allowed 1 run. Tyler Ferguson, credited with the save, is now 16 for 18 in save opportunities. With the victory, the Stars upped their record to 54-48.
Luis Guillorme helped out the Cincinnati cause in the bottom of the seventh inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the second baseman was 1 for 4.
"Solid performance from our side," said Stars manager Pat Padula.
