Firebirds Handle Washington, Snag 7-4 Win
The Phoenix Firebirds cut down the Washington Hitmen by the score of 7-4, with the largest share of the credit going to catcher Sean Murphy. Murphy went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Firebirds. Edwin Diaz earned his 26th save in 30 chances. The victory gives Phoenix a record of 62-41.

With Phoenix trailing 4-2 in the top of the fifth, Murphy hit a fastball from Hogan Harris for a grand slam home run. It was his 11th home run of the season and put the Firebirds ahead, 6-4.

"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Murphy.
