Millers Suffer 7-3 Home Defeat
|
Joe Ryan had a strong outing for the Boston Minutemen against the Minnesota Millers at Target Field. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 7-3 win. Ryan, now 3-14, was the winner. In 5.2 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 7, walking 1, and allowing 3 runs. With the win over Minnesota, the Minutemen improved to 54-49.
An inflection point occurred with no one out in the top of the second. That's when Minutemen third baseman D.J. LeMahieu hit a cutter from Justin Steele for a 2-run single. Just like that, Boston was up, 3-2.
"Winning never gets dull," said LeMahieu.
