Minutemen Defeated, 5-2, After Pittsburgh Rallies
|
The Pittsburgh Ironmen took Boston pitcher Kyle Harrison's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Fenway Park. The final score had Pittsburgh getting past the Minutemen, 5-2. Harrison went 6 innings and allowed 1 run, striking out 7. Pittsburgh reliever Taylor Rogers was the winner. His record is now 1-3. Raisel Iglesias took the loss. David Robertson notched his 15th save in 18 chances.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Yonathan Daza? The 30-year old left fielder Daza stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put Pittsburgh up, 3-2. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.
"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Daza.
The win has Pittsburgh at 37-67.
