Firebirds Deal Hitmen 12-3 Loss
|
The Phoenix Firebirds had no problem beating the Washington Hitmen, 12-3, at RFK Stadium. Trent Grisham led the way. He was 4-6 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for Phoenix. Phoenix now has a record of 63-42 with the win.
Phoenix used the hitting of Freddie Freeman to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a grand slam home run in the top of the third inning to put the Firebirds on top, 6-0. For the game, Freeman had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"It was great to come out and swing the bats," Grisham told the Phoenix Chronicle.
