Pittsburgh Slaps 8-3 Loss on Los Angeles
The Pittsburgh Ironmen trumped the Los Angeles Spirit, 8-3, at PNC Park. Pittsburgh left fielder Ian Happ was terrific. He went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4. Pittsburgh reliever Yariel Rodriguez picked up the win. Jay Groome took the loss for Los Angeles. Pittsburgh goes to 55-50, Los Angeles to 37-68.

In the bottom of the seventh, the Ironmen grabbed the lead when Happ hit his 19th home run of the season. The grand slam home run off Taylor Dollard made it 7-3, Pittsburgh.

Happ called the win "a lesson in teamwork."
