Sharks Roll to 9-1 Win Over Bears
The New York Sharks racked up a win at Shark Stadium, bumping off the Denver Bears, 9-1. Yusei Kikuchi, who started for New York, pitched effectively for his team. Kikuchi got the win, improving to 11-5. He gave up 4 hits and walked 2 over 6 innings. He allowed no runs. The defeat makes Denver 55-51.

Casey Schmitt had a key at-bat with two out in the bottom of the fourth for New York. With the bases loaded and the Sharks leading 1-0, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run.

"I think we did a good job of looking for pitches we wanted to hit and put good swings on them," said New York skipper Nick Ruport.
