Firebirds Win, 6-1, at Toronto
|
Phoenix Firebirds starter Chris Paddack was in the groove. He led his team to a win over the Toronto Hogs, 6-1. The Firebirds now own a record of 51-56.
Phoenix center fielder Rafael Ortega contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the fourth. With two down, he hit a curveball to right field for a run-scoring single. It was his 26th hit of the season and put the Firebirds ahead, 3-1.
"I think it just wasn't our night," said Toronto skipper Anthony Cepparulo.
