Due in large part to center fielder Garrett Mitchell, the Portland Jaguars sunk the San Francisco Dragons, 7-6. Mitchell was 3 for 5 with 3 singles. Portland pitcher Kyle Leahy earned the win, hiking his record to 7-1. Walker Buehler suffered the loss. With the win over San Francisco, the Jaguars improved to 52-56.

J.D. Martinez went 1 for 3 with a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Portland. The 37-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the third. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a 2-run single off Walker Buehler. It was his 15th hit of the season.

"I put some good swings on the ball tonight," said Mitchell.
