Chisholm, Dragons March to 6-4 Victory
|
The home crowd had a good time watching the Pittsburgh Ironmen and San Francisco Dragons get after it.
The San Francisco Dragons defeated the Pittsburgh Ironmen by the score of 6-4, with the biggest share of the credit going to second baseman Jazz Chisholm. Chisholm went 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 5 for the Dragons on the day. Mason Miller earned his 23rd save in 26 chances.
Willson Contreras, who is a four-time All-Star, aided the San Francisco cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the catcher was 1-4 with a walk.
"I'm trying to see the ball big, see the ball up in the zone and put the barrel on it," Chisholm told the San Francisco Chronicle.
The first-place Dragons have a one-game lead in their division.
