The Texas Vipers claimed a close win over the Montreal PoorBoys, due in large part to Yu Darvish. The Texas right-hander pitched a great game to secure the 2-1 win. With the win over Montreal, the Vipers improved to 46-63.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Jake Cronenworth? The Texas second baseman had a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Vipers on top, 2-0. For the game, Cronenworth had 1 double and 1 single in 3 at-bats.

"We came in and did what we needed to do," said Texas manager Pete Seto.
