Bears Pin 8-2 Loss on Seattle
|
The Seattle Sting got a superb performance from pitcher Zac Gallen, but the Denver Bears still won the game, 8-2. Gallen threw 6.0 innings of 4-hit ball. The setback makes Seattle 65-45.
Had Nick Gordon not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Gordon hit a 2-run double. That made the score 4-2, in favor of the Bears.
"I think we did a good job of looking for pitches we wanted to hit and put good swings on them," said Denver skipper Aaron Hill.
