Multi-HR Game for Swanson in 6-1 Win
|
The Pittsburgh Ironmen handed the Cincinnati Stars a 6-1 defeat at PNC Park. Shortstop Dansby Swanson starred for Pittsburgh. He went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 6 runs and scored twice. The Ironmen raised their record to 41-69.
The game turned with no one out in the bottom of the fourth. That's when Swanson hit a 3-run home run off Yusei Kikuchi. It propelled the Ironmen into the lead, 3-0.
"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Ironmen manager Nick Smith, "I like our chances."
