Oakland Defeated by Toronto, 3-1
|
In a low-scoring contest between the Toronto Hogs and the Oakland Roses, Kevin Gausman was the X factor. The Toronto right-hander spearheaded the 3-1 win. Kenley Jansen earned the save, his 19th in 23 tries. The Hogs improved their record to 54-57 with the win over Oakland.
Ryan O'Hearn had a direct impact on the outcome. O'Hearn contributed a solo home run in the top of the sixth inning to put Toronto up, 3-1.
"Kevin is tough to beat when he's hitting his spots," said Toronto manager Anthony Cepparulo.
