Wildcats Suffer 5-1 Road Loss
|
The Philadelphia Phalanx rode a solid performance from 27-year-old starting pitcher Bailey Falter to a win, beating the Baltimore Wildcats, 5-1, at Citizens Bank Park. The last-place Phalanx have won 5 consecutive games.
The Phalanx got a big at-bat from catcher Yasmani Grandal. For the game, Grandal went 1-3 with a double. He drove in 3 runs. In the bottom of the fourth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a bases-clearing double. His 11th double of the season gave Philadelphia a 3-1 lead.
"Bailey is tough when he's hitting his spots," said Philadelphia manager Stephen Esterhazy.
