PoorBoys Earn 3-1 Home Win
|
Joe Musgrove was terrific for the Montreal PoorBoys in his team's 3-1 triumph over the Washington Hitmen. His performance earned Musgrove rave reviews. Musgrove picked up the win for Montreal, going 6.2 innings. He gave up no runs on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 6-2. Felix Bautista notched his 26th save in 30 chances.
The PoorBoys got a big at-bat from left fielder Travis Blankenhorn. For the game, Blankenhorn went 1 for 3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 12th home run of the season gave Montreal a 2-0 lead.
"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said Montreal skipper Garrett Woolsey. "I can't complain."
The victory gives Montreal a record of 62-50.
