Pasquantino Slugs Snakeyes to 7-5 Win
The San Diego Snakeyes defeated the Chicago Explorers, 7-5. Doing his part was first baseman Vinnie Pasquantino, who went 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. Drew Thorpe got credit for the win, improving to 3-2. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. San Diego now sits at 57-58, while Chicago falls to 46-69.

With San Diego leading 4-3 in the top of the fifth, Pasquantino hit a fastball from Shota Imanaga for a 3-run home run. It was his 20th home run of the season and put the Snakeyes ahead, 7-3.

"I believe in our guys," said San Diego skipper Kelly Woolsey. "I like the energy they're playing with."
