Losing Trend Continues for Denver
|
The 6-4 Baltimore win over Denver was due largely to Connor Norby. The Wildcats second baseman was 3 for 3 with a double, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2. Baltimore reliever Paul Sewald snagged the win, upping his record to 3-10. Brady Singer shouldered the loss. The third-place Bears have lost 6 straight games.
Adrian Del Castillo had a big 2-run home run for the Wildcats in the bottom of the second inning. With Baltimore leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a slider from 29-year old right-handed pitcher Brady Singer and punished it. The result was his 14th home run of the season, which put the Wildcats on top, 3-0.
"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Del Castillo said.
