Seattle Sting starter Shohei Ohtani pitched a strong game against the Cincinnati Stars at Boeing Field, leading the Sting to victory, 6-5. The win went to Trevor Megill in relief, making him now 5-1. Tylor Megill took the loss for Cincinnati. Seattle improves to 80-37 with the win. They lead their division by 16½ games.

Seattle took a 6-5 lead on Pete Alonso's 40th home run of the season. The solo home run, which Alonso hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Cincinnati pitcher Tylor Megill visibly frustrated.

"I like the roll we're on right now," said Alonso after the game.
