Minnesota and New York duked it out and the Millers came out victorious.

Curtis Mead impressed in the 8-6 Minnesota win over New York. Mead was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4. The victory gives Minnesota a record of 65-52.

With Minnesota leading 2-1 in the top of the third, Mead hit a cutter from Nestor Cortes for a run-scoring double. It was his 11th double of the season and put the Millers ahead, 3-1.

"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Mead, "one at-bat at a time."
