Pittsburgh Triumphs with Late Surge
The Pittsburgh Ironmen weathered an outstanding game by New York left fielder Michael Brantley to topple the Sharks, 7-5. Brantley went 3 for 4 with 2 doubles and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. Pittsburgh reliever Enyel De Los Santos picked up the win, raising his record to 5-1. Collin McHugh was tagged with the loss. The victory puts Pittsburgh at 44-73.

Pittsburgh used a timely hit from Nick Allen to get the win. The second baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Ironmen ahead, 7-5. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Allen told a Pittsburgh Chronicle reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."
