Minnesota Nets 8-7 Win Versus Bears
|
Coors Field was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Minnesota Millers and Denver Bears.
The Minnesota Millers beat the Denver Bears, 8-7, in part because of first baseman Seiya Suzuki. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Minnesota reliever Jeff Hoffman got the win, raising his record to 2-3. Alex Faedo was tagged with the loss.
In the top of the eighth, the Millers grabbed the lead when Suzuki hit his 24th double of the season. The 2-run double off Alex Faedo made it 8-7, Minnesota.
"We're one win closer to our goal," Suzuki said in postgame remarks.
Denver has now lost 5 in a row.
