Explorers Earn 3-2 Win Versus Dragons
|
In a tight tilt between the Chicago Explorers and the San Francisco Dragons, Cody Poteet was the difference-maker. The Chicago right-hander excelled in his team's 3-2 win in 10 innings. Jeremiah Estrada earned his 28th save in 29 tries. With the win, the Explorers hiked their record to 61-61.
Kyle Farmer, who is tied for 6th in the UL in doubles with 30, had a direct impact on the outcome. Farmer contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the tenth inning to put Chicago up, 3-2.
"We just didn't score enough runs to win," said San Francisco manager Joe Turnage.
