Diamonds Deal Explorers 2-1 Loss
|
Tyler Glasnow never let Chicago get something going. The Anaheim right-hander commanded his fastball in pitching the Diamonds to a 2-1 win. The winner was Anaheim reliever David Bednar, now 2-1. The loser was Tommy Nance. Brennan Bernardino, credited with the save, is now 1 for 2 in save opportunities.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Cal Raleigh? The 27-year old catcher Raleigh stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 13th inning to put Anaheim up, 2-1. For the game, he was 3 for 6, including 1 double and 2 singles.
"We found a way to win tonight," Glasnow said.
Anaheim is 60-61 and Chicago, with the loss, 59-64.
