Minutemen Deny Wildcats, 3-2

Starting pitcher Ryne Nelson gave the Boston Minutemen a rock-solid performance, helping his team defeat the Baltimore Wildcats, 3-2, at Fenway Park. Boston reliever Luis Frias got the win, raising his record to 4-3. Kyle Wright was tagged with the loss. With the win, Boston upped its record to 63-58.
Kris Bryant, who finished 3rd in the FL in batting average with .333 in 2017, helped out the Boston cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring double. For the game, the designated hitter went 1 for 4 with a double.
"Ryne went out and did what we needed," said Boston manager Tony Byrne.
