Guest Wildcats Win, 5-4, at St Louis
|
Fans watched the Baltimore Wildcats and the St Louis Sluggers fight to the finish.
The St Louis Sluggers got a superb performance from pitcher Jameson Taillon, but the Baltimore Wildcats still won the game, 5-4. Taillon threw 5.0 innings of 3-hit ball. Camilo Doval earned his 2nd save in 4 chances.
Baltimore used the timely hitting of Nolan Jones to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Wildcats on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"I like the grit of this ballclub," Jones said.
With the win, Baltimore pushed its record to 66-58.
