Vipers Take Tight Tangle
The 8-7 Texas win over Bronx was due in large part to Davis Schneider. The Vipers right fielder went 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Texas reliever Drew Smith snagged the win, upping his record to 3-3. Jordan Hicks shouldered the loss. The losing streak for Bronx has now reached 4 games.

The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Texas trailing 7-6, Edward Olivares hit a sinker from Jordan Hicks to center for a 2-run single. Just like that, the Vipers had a walk-off win.

"This ballpark was lit," Olivares said.
