Olson Pops Two Homers in 13-9 Win for Tampa Bay
The Tampa Bay Bandits beat the San Diego Snakeyes in a game featuring much hitting but not much pitching. The final score was 13-9, Bandits. One of the hitting stars was first baseman Matt Olson. Olson, who finished 4th in the FL in runs with 106 last year, hit 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 5. With the win, the Bandits sit at 78-47.

With Tampa Bay leading 9-4 in the bottom of the eighth, Olson came up to bat against San Diego pitcher Kolby Allard. Olson hit a fastball to right for a grand slam home run. His 20th home run of the season put the Bandits on top, 13-4.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Olson told the Tampa Bay Chronicle. "It's as simple as that."
