Baltimore Beats Boston, 3-2
|
The Baltimore Wildcats topped the Boston Minutemen, 3-2, in Federal League action at Fenway Park. The standout performance belonged to Baltimore pitcher and New York, native Emmet Sheehan. The Baltimore winning streak has reached 3 games.
Baltimore used a clutch at-bat from Corey Seager to capture the win. The shortstop hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Wildcats ahead, 2-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Boston skipper Tony Byrne.
