Phalanx Pop Diamonds, 10-2
|
Philadelphia Phalanx starter Logan Allen had all his pitches working at Angel Stadium of Anaheim. His stellar performance paved the way for an easy 10-2 Philadelphia win over the Anaheim Diamonds. Allen yielded 2 runs over 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 1, and struck out 6. His record improves to 6-11. Philadelphia is now 62-67, while Anaheim is 53-76.
Mike Yastrzemski had a big 2-run home run for the Phalanx in the top of the second inning. With Philadelphia trailing 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he got a curveball from Taijuan Walker and swatted a home run to right-center. It was his 6th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Phalanx ahead, 2-1.
"We looked pretty good up and down," said Philadelphia manager Stephen Esterhazy.
