Seattle Tacks 3-2 Loss on Montreal
|
The Seattle Sting picked up a win at Big Donut Stadium, taking down the Montreal PoorBoys, 3-2. Starting pitcher Ryne Nelson was a big reason why. Nelson got the win, improving to 15-5. He gave up 5 hits and walked 0 over 8 innings. He allowed 1 run. Josh Hader was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 30 of 31 save opportunities.
Junior Caminero had a direct impact on the outcome. Caminero contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put Seattle up, 3-1.
"We'll take some time to unwind," said Caminero, "and then get after it again."
Seattle goes to 77-54. The win puts them 7½ games up in their division.
