Baltimore Beats Chicago, 7-4
|
Baltimore and Chicago duked it out and the Wildcats came out victorious.
The timely hitting of Connor Norby helped the Baltimore Wildcats down the Chicago Explorers, 7-4. Norby went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 3 times for the Wildcats. Baltimore starter J.P. Sears was credited with the win after throwing 93 pitches over 5.1 innings. His record now stands at 5-1.
The Wildcats got a big at-bat from first baseman Nick Pratto. For the game, Pratto was 1 for 4 with a double. He drove in 3 runs. In the bottom of the third, with the bases loaded, he stroked a bases-clearing double. His 17th double of the season gave Baltimore a 6-3 lead.
"Connor is still learning," said Wildcats manager Joe Bubanj. "The sky's the limit for him."
Today's win puts Baltimore at 58-74, while Chicago falls to 67-65.
