May Now 3-1 Following 2-0 Win
|
Pac Bell Park hosted an old-fashioned pitchers' duel.
In a low-scoring contest between the San Francisco Dragons and the Washington Hitmen, Dustin May was the X factor. The San Francisco right-hander spearheaded the 2-0 win. Jose Alvarado converted his 8th save in 9 tries.
May allowed no runs on no hits over 8 innings for San Francisco. With the win, the southpaw is 3-1 with an ERA of 3.12.
"That's how you're going to be successful," said Dragons manager Joe Turnage. "It starts with pitching and it will always be pitching."
The third-place Hitmen have dropped 5 straight games.
