Roses Suffer 8-4 Road Loss
|
The Minnesota Millers defeated the Oakland Roses, 8-4, at Target Field. Leading the charge for Minnesota was left fielder Michael Conforto. He went 3 for 4 with 2 doubles, while scoring 2. Justin Steele earned the win to go to 5-6. He allowed 2 runs on 8 hits, with no walks and 2 strikeouts in 5.1 innings of work. With the win, Minnesota upped its record to 74-59.
Third Baseman Nolan Arenado made an impact for Minnesota, when he swatted a 2-run home run off Kenta Maeda in the bottom of the second. For the contest, Arenado was 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Minnesota manager Pierre Duschesnau.
