The Seattle Sting got a superb performance from center fielder Byron Buxton, but the Bronx Bombers still won the game, 7-6. Buxton went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Bronx pitcher Michael Wacha earned the win, hiking his record to 8-8. Nick Martinez suffered the loss. Picking up the save was Jordan Hicks. He's now 20 for 26 in save chances.

Bronx used the hitting of Teoscar Hernandez to pick up the win. The left fielder clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Bombers on top, 7-3. For the game, Hernandez had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"There's a lot of fight left in this team," said Hernandez.

With the victory, the Bombers upped their record to 67-67.
