Sting Win with Late Rally
|
The Seattle Sting and the Houston Titans played into extra innings before the winner was determined. The Sting won it, 8-7, in 11 innings. In the game, Seattle second baseman Ketel Marte was 2 for 5 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Josh Hader got credit for the win, improving to 3-6. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. With the victory, the Sting upped their record to 81-55.
The game was all tied up in the top of the 11th, until Marte delivered big-time for Seattle, stroking a dramatic solo home run off Logan Allen. The game-changing hit put the Sting on top, 8-7.
"Just trying to keep things simple and helping the team win any way I can," Marte told a local reporter after the game.
