Torres 3-for-3 to Ignite Ironmen Offense

Behind a solid performance from second baseman Gleyber Torres, the Pittsburgh Ironmen defeated the Los Angeles Spirit, 4-0. Torres was 3-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Ironmen. Pittsburgh starter Matthew Boyd was credited with the win after throwing 82 pitches over 6 innings. His record now stands at 1-0. The loss lowers the Los Angeles record to 1-1.
The game turned with two out in the bottom of the fourth. That's when Torres hit a 2-run home run off Zac Gallen. It propelled the Ironmen into the lead, 2-0.
"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Torres, "one at-bat at a time."
