Dragons Get 4-1 Win Versus Toronto
|
The San Francisco Dragons got a marvelous performance from pitcher Joe Rock. The left-hander kept the Toronto offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 4-1 San Francisco victory at Pac Bell Park. Mason Miller, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save. The loss drops Toronto to 1-1.
The Dragons got a big at-bat from right fielder Ronald Acuna Jr.. For the game, Acuna Jr. was 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave San Francisco a 2-0 lead.
In postgame comments to the San Francisco Citizen, Rock said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
