Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Carolina Riptides and Montreal PoorBoys.

Gunnar Henderson had a good game, but he could not keep the Montreal PoorBoys from falling, 6-4, to the Carolina Riptides at Big Donut Stadium. The Montreal shortstop was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once in the loss. The win gives Carolina a record of 2-1.

Carolina used a clutch at-bat from Ryan McMahon to capture the win. The second baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Riptides ahead, 4-3. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said McMahon.
