The Tampa Bay Bandits beat the Minnesota Millers, 5-4, at Tony Gwynn Memorial Field. The win was due in part to designated hitter Yordan Alvarez, who was 2 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The save was credited to Ryan Helsley, his 1st. Minnesota, with the loss, is 0-3.

With Tampa Bay trailing 3-2 in the bottom of the third, Alvarez hit a changeup from Reynaldo Lopez for a 3-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Bandits ahead, 5-3.
