Bronx 4-1 Losers to Demons
|
The Detroit Demons topped the Bronx Bombers, 4-1, in Federal League action at Magnum Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Detroit pitcher David Peterson. Peterson, now 1-0, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 3, walking 0, and allowing 1 run. Devin Williams, who led the FL in saves with 38 in 2024, nailed down the save.
The Demons benefited from an error in the top of the second inning. Detroit was trailing 1-0 when Carson Kelly hit a 2-run single that was misplayed. It put Detroit in front, 2-1.
"David -- his tempo and rhythm were good," said Demons manager Marc Buffington. "He was the key to us winning."
The defeat makes Bronx 0-4.
