Cruz Big Deal in San Francisco: Hits for Cycle
|
The San Francisco Dragons topped the Minnesota Millers by a score of 5-3 at Pac Bell Park, but all the talk was centered on shortstop Oneil Cruz.
The San Francisco star hit for the cycle in a show-stealing performance, powering his club to the win. Cruz went 4-for-5, collecting 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run to go along with 4 runs batted in and 1 run scored.
"I felt comfortable at the plate in a way I haven't felt all season," Cruz said after the game. "It was like they were throwing beach balls at me - the ball seemed that big. And it just floated in."
Oneil Cruz hit a solo-shot off Clay Holmes in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, hit a two-run double in the 4th, hit an RBI triple in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
