The Tampa Bay Bandits powered past the St Louis Sluggers, 11-0, at Tony Gwynn Memorial Field. Aaron Judge provided some of the pop. He went 2-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 7 RBI and scoring twice. Justin Verlander, the winner, goes to 1-0. He allowed no runs on 1 hits, with 1 walk and 9 strikeouts over 6 innings. The Bandits, now 4-0, have been playing some good baseball.
Early in the game, Judge had a 3-run home run for Tampa Bay. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Bandits on top, 3-0.
"We hit the ball hard," said Tampa Bay manager George Hoffman. "Line drive after line drive."
