The Tampa Bay Bandits downed the Cincinnati Stars, 8-7, in 10 innings at Tony Gwynn Memorial Field. The Bandits were led by Yordan Alvarez. Alvarez hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. The winner was Kirby Yates in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Colin Holderman took the loss. The Bandits, now 3-1, have hit the ground running this season.

The decisive blow was delivered by Matt Olson in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a run-scoring double off 29-year old right-handed pitcher Colin Holderman to win the game for Tampa Bay. The home crowd went nuts.
