Snakeyes Take Tight Tangle
The San Diego Snakeyes defeated the Los Angeles Spirit, 6-5, in Federal League action at Nike Field. Kazuma Okamoto pulled his weight. The 9-year veteran went 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 3 times. Dylan Smith earned the save for San Diego, his 1st of the year. Los Angeles now has a record of 1-4.

It could have been a different outcome for San Diego, had it not been for Luis Torrens, the 29-year old catcher . Torrens contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put San Diego up, 6-5.

"What's not to like about a win?" said Torrens.
