Wildcats Lose to Spirit, 5-2
|
Los Angeles Spirit starter Garrett Crochet turned in an exceptional performance against the Baltimore Wildcats at Nike Field, resulting in a Los Angeles win, 5-2. Shinnosuke Ogasawara picked up his 1st save of the season. Los Angeles goes to 3-4.
Los Angeles took advantage of an error in the bottom of the seventh inning. The game was tied, 2-2, when Eddys Leonard hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put the Spirit in front, 3-2.
"Garrett -- his tempo and rhythm were good," said Spirit manager Bobby Kirkpatrick. "He was the key to us winning."
