Wildcats Lose to Spirit in Walk-Off
The Los Angeles Spirit eked out a 3-2 win versus the Baltimore Wildcats at Nike Field. Nobody did more than pitcher Framber Valdez. He was terrific. Los Angeles reliever JR Ritchie picked up the win to move to 2-0. Braxton Garrett suffered the loss. The win puts Los Angeles at 5-4.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Los Angeles left fielder Heriberto Hernandez, facing Braxton Garrett, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Spirit the 3-2 win.

"We squandered some opportunities," said Baltimore manager Joe Bubanj.
