Titans Come Up Short at Washington, 5-4
|
Though he had a stellar game, Jordan Westburg could not prevent his team, the Houston Titans, from losing, 5-4, to the Washington Hitmen. Westburg was 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2. Washington reliever Matt Foster picked up the win, raising his record to 1-0. Logan Allen was tagged with the loss. Adrian Morejon picked up the save, his 4th.
Tyler O'Neill, who finished 5th in the FL in home runs with 38 in 2022, helped out the Washington cause in the bottom of the third inning with a run-scoring ground out. For the game, the right fielder was 1 for 4.
"I'm just looking to see the ball, hit the ball," said O'Neill.
Houston now has a record of 9-1.
