Roses Stumble, Lose to Titans
|
Jordan Westburg was a major factor in the 8-2 Houston win over Oakland. The Titans third baseman hit 2 home runs. The win went to Triston McKenzie in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Jakob Junis took the loss. The win puts Houston at 6-5.
Brandon Nimmo, who led the UL in triples with 11 in 2019, came through for Houston with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the first. The left fielder went 2 for 5 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and collected 2 runs batted in.
"We took it on the chin tonight," said losing manager Heath Hunt.
