The Cincinnati Stars and Portland Jaguars played an entertaining game for Great American Ball Park patrons.

The Cincinnati Stars defeated the Portland Jaguars, 5-4, in part because of first baseman Mark Vientos. Vientos went 2-3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Stars. Colin Holderman nailed down the save.

Vientos contributed in the bottom of the third. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 2-run double. It was one at-bat among others that helped Cincinnati get the win.

Cincinnati manager Pat Padula said his team played a "no nonsense" game.

The Jaguars fall to 4-8 and continue their unimpressive start to the 2025 season.
