Diamonds Win at Minnesota, 5-0
|
Getting an impressive start from Tyler Glasnow, Anaheim beat Minnesota by the score of 5-0. The winning pitcher was Glasnow, now 2-0. He tossed 6.2 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 6. Luke Weaver nailed down the save.
Anaheim won the game in part because of Ali Sanchez. The catcher ripped a bases-clearing double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Diamonds ahead, 3-0. For the game, Sanchez had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.
Anaheim manager Michael Kirk commended his team for delivering "maximum effort."
